Zionism, written by Freydis
What is Zionism?
Zionism is such
a major factor in 20th century events, and continues to be a
major force in the 21st century, that no one can afford to
remain ignorant on the topic. Indeed, the true source of most of
the major conflict in the world today, from the war on Iraq and
Afghanistan to threatened war against Iran and beyond, can in
fact be traced back to Zionism.
But what is
Zionism? It’s essentially just a fancy word for Jewish
nationalism. Until the second half of the 19th
century the established narrative concerning Jewish history was
of the expulsion from the Holy Land and the establishment of
Jewish populations around the world, but primarily in Eastern
Europe. The Jews did not have their own state, and most assumed
they did not need one either. However, in an era of great
nationalist sentiment some Jewish thinkers began to conceive of
nationalism as a tool they could use for themselves.
The primary
conceptual proponent behind Zionism was Theodor Herzl, who first
published his book The Jewish State in 1896. Born into a
Jewish family in Budapest Hungary in 1860, Theodor Herzl was
responsible for authoring and selling the concept of a state
specifically for the Jewish people. Herzl’s conception of a
Zionist homeland for Jews came about from his concern over the
continual animosity and conflict between Jews and Christians in
Europe. Although intentions are often difficult to discern from
writing alone, Herzl seemed to honestly desire a solution that
would be acceptable to Europeans while, of course, remaining
beneficial to Jews as well.
|
Zionism is just a fancy word for Jewish nationalism. |
Zionism was a
heterodox notion for Jews, and even though Herzl intended moving
to the new state to be a voluntary event, it was not instantly
popular in the Jewish community at all. Herzl had to deal with
multiple impediments in tradition, such as Jewish culture being
tethered to monolithic historical assumptions. The
entrepreneurial spirit was active, but the pioneering spirit
lacking.
We have cradles, we have graves, and we
alone know how Jewish hearts cling to the graves. Our cradles we
shall carry with us—they hold our future, rosy and smiling. Our
beloved graves we must abandon— and I think this abandonment
will cost us more than any other sacrifice. But it must be so.
[12, pg. 123]
However, in the
category 'be careful what you wish for', Herzl grossly misjudged
the consequences of Zionism, predicting that,
[T]he Jews, once settled in their own
State, would probably have no more enemies. [12, pg. 153]
The crux of the
trouble surrounding Zionism, and indeed the trouble with all
forms of nationalism, is the need for land to form the state.
Although various regions of the world had been seriously
discussed for a Jewish homeland the religious argument for
Palestine was the easiest to sell to the Jewish community.
At the end of
World War I the Ottoman Empire lost and subsequently collapsed,
with the British Empire subsequently taking control over
Palestine. Influential Jews, such as
Chaim Weizmann,
offered support
to the British Empire from their community in exchange for
giving Palestine to the Jews, in what became the Balfour
agreement. However, the existing population in Palestine was not
consulted on this deal at all! So, this is where the, now
infamous, conflict in the Middle East begins.
Very few Jews
actually lived in Palestine before the Balfour Agreement and the
ones that did were culturally very different from the Jews
spread across Europe. Jews from Europe began to move into
Palestine and establish themselves with the absolute religious
belief that they and they alone had the right to the land.
Consequently, the real Zionism that built the state of Israel
was revealed during the infamous forcible expulsion of the
remaining Arab population of Palestine in 1948.
So, in essence
Zionism was invented as a tool to connect Jews throughout the
world with something they had not had before -- a common home.
Zionism used religious literature to define the Jewish homeland
as the land west of the Jordan River. Palestine was not the
first place considered, even Brazil and Madagascar were tossed
around at one point, but it was the most viable of the options
at the time because it was close to Europe and controlled by a
receptive nation - England.
The actual
British motivation behind the restructuring of Palestine was
much less one of charity towards Jews as it was of simple
opportunism. The British government colluded with Jewish Zionism
in order to cement control over a strategically important region
of the world while also denying control to opponents, especially
their inveterate economic competitors in central Europe
(Germany). The Balfour Declaration was also seen as a means of
getting the Jews out of the country; unfortunately for England
the ‘win-win’ situation never materialized.
During World
War II the Jewish leadership again sided with the allies and the
return payment being full-blown statehood after the war -- in
other words, completing what they had started. Indeed this is
quite ironic given the current Israeli government resistance to
the present Palestinian effort to achieve statehood, but as
we'll see this sad tale is rife with double-standards.
By the end of
World War II England was for all practical purposes defeated and
their Imperial power was eclipsed by that of the United States,
yet the objectives of both remained interwoven and as world
power shifted from London to New York and Washington DC, so did
the nexus of Jewish influence.
Israel
Founded as Europe Lies in Ruins
Two devastating, fratricidal world wars in the space of 40 years
left Europe physically and economically ruined.
Control of the imploded British Empire, and basically everything
that colonial Europe controlled plus the direct influence of
world affairs that went with it, all were transferred to the
source of the money which financed both world wars - the United
States of America.
The United Nations was one of the primary elements in the
post-war restructuring of the world order. The United States
helped found the United Nations, which although created for
multiple, often humanitarian reasons, was essentially seen by
the elite in America as a tool for granting legitimacy to
certain international policy decisions, especially in this case
concerning the Jews and Israel.
In
November of 1947 the U.N. General Assembly approved a partition
plan to create a Jewish state, an Arab state, and an
international zone around Jerusalem. Just a few months later in
May of 1948 Israel declared themselves a state and President
Harry Truman,
in defiance of emphatic recommendations against involvement due
to the future repercussions against U.S. national interests,
immediately recognized the action. War between Israel and the
Arab states immediately followed. [21]
The creation of the state of
Israel in 1948 deprived Palestinians and Arabs of land they
considered to be their own, by virtue of the fact they and their
ancestors before them had lived, farmed, and died in that
geographic location for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
Even Israel's founders knew this.
Israel’s second president Yitzhak Ben-Zvi wrote in 1929,
The vast majority of the peasant farmers do not have their
origins in the Arab conquerors, but rather, before then, in the
Jewish farmers who were numerous and a majority in the building
of the land.
This expulsion of
the indigenous inhabitants in 1948 and 1949 has come to be called the Nakba
(the Cataclysm). Wars resulted, the biggest occurring in 1967
and 1973. In both instances Israel's neighbors lost, although
only because of rapid emergency military assistance from the
United States during 1973. Israel has been expanding through the
use of violence and economic and political coercion ever since
the Zionist state was formed, and this is the crux of the
problem.
Zionism is Testament to the
Folly of Nationalism
Aggressive nationalism forces everyone else
to get a nation and state too, if for no other reason that self-defense against
other aggressive states! So, not surprisingly, the arrival of
Zionism in the Middle East region drastically altered the
situation. Although it’s
conveniently forgotten today, before the advent of Zionist
nationalism Jews, Christians, and Muslims all coexisted
peacefully in the Middle East. The great historical cities of
Baghdad, Beirut, Jerusalem, and Damascus, all had mixed
religious populations that have declined amidst conflict since
1948. After Zionism and the establishment of the state of Israel
the entire Middle East has
broken down along religious lines, creating enormous turmoil and
violence typified by the carnage and car bombs that now plague
Baghdad Iraq in the throes of religious warfare.
9-11: Support for
Israel Returns Turmoil to the USA
Despite
occasional hollow rhetoric to the contrary the United States government is an unwavering and
uncritical ally of the state of Israel, and by extension Israeli
government policies, such as the expansion of illegal settlements
in occupied territory. This alliance takes the form of billions
of dollars in military aid in equipment and technology, as well
as direct financial assistance in the form of cash payments as
'foreign aid' and loan guarantees, among other things.
Demonstrating the influence of Israel exerts over federal
government decisions, loan guarantees are extended to Israel,
greatly lowering the price that government must pay in interest,
yet the state of California, in a
severe budgetary turmoil and economic recession with massive
unemployment, cannot get any loan guarantees, yet alone a loan
that need not be repaid as Israel regularly receives.
The
September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and
on the Pentagon were advertised as being unprovoked, yet in fact
they were entirely predictable reactions to Israel’s Zionists
violence and America’s unconditional support for them. Since
Israel is an implacable foe of Arab states, and Islam in general, Osama bin Laden reasons, just as former General Ariel Sharon of
Israel does, that coexistence is impossible and defeat of the
enemy is the only path leading to victory. Further, since Israel
would not have the military tools or finances to survive
independently from the United States (they don't), in order to
stop Israel one must stop America, right? So now the question is:
how do you stop America? This is the main reason why Zionism is
such a critical issue for everyone in the United States, as well
as the Middle East, and indeed even the rest of the world.
Founding a modern state on a single ethnic
or religious identity in a territory that is ethnically and
religiously diverse leads inexorably either to politics of
exclusion (think of the 139-square-mile prison camp that Gaza
has become) or to wholesale ethnic cleansing. Put simply, the
problem is Zionism. [...]
If two decades ago comparisons to the
South African apartheid system felt like hyperbole, they now
feel charitable. The white South African regime, for all its
crimes, never attacked the Bantustans with anything like the
destructive power Israel visited on Gaza in December and
January, when nearly 1,300 Palestinians were killed, one-third
of them children. - Ben Ehrenreich, March 2009 [13]
Within the
present situation America is trapped between two formidable and
seemingly immovable objects. Over the past fifty years the
Jewish lobby in America has built an incredibly potent machine
for manipulating United States foreign policy to favor the state
of Israel and its government, to the point that no federal
representative can question this state of affairs without swift
and severe retribution. Questioning Israel, or American foreign
policy concerning the total support of that west-Asian
mini-state, means career suicide for an American politician, and
instead the ones that want to climb the ladder do the opposite,
they ask how much more can be given to Israel!

It appears that America will continue down the same perilous
path,
mindlessly serving as Zionist Israel’s golem, until it either reaches financial oblivion and is
physically unable to sustain the current state of worldwide
warfare and military sponsorship of violent militant
regimes, or until it seriously reevaluates its external
associations and adopts a foreign policy as detached and
impartial as practically possible, thereby undercutting the
explosive fuel of injustice powering the likes of dangerous
terrorists like Osama bin Laden.
The Middle East Peace Process Sham
Although Zionism began with seemingly noble intentions, the
primary objective of creating a state and safe haven for Jews to
move to and live has not been achieved, and in fact the
opposite has occurred. Jews are less safe now than ever before
precisely because they have employed a belief-system
that
intentionally excludes the needs and concerns of those that are
not Jewish.
As a result Zionism has
returned only violence and animosity towards the Jews while the
security of Israel only becomes more precarious, held together
only through a tenuous veneer of intimidation and constant
threats.
For many years
the national aspirations of the dispossessed Palestinian people have
been placated through a convoluted play called the 'Peace
Process'. This process never delivered peace for anyone in the
region but it did buy time for Israel to continue illegal
expansion of settlements on stolen land.
The
Zionist state of Israel continually claims to seek
peace and safety, and this excuse is mercilessly exploited as a
justification for the application of disproportional military
force against neighboring states, and upon the people within
Israel’s own occupied territories. Yet Israel’s violent and
brutal assault upon the civilian population in the Gaza strip
in 2009 is just the latest demonstration of Israeli
actions, revealing true intent stripped away from disingenuous
propaganda. The perpetual Middle East ‘Peace Process’ is a
sham. If you still doubt it professor
Norman
Finkelstein
explains why:
The Palestinian
organization Hamas was becoming too moderate; it was
transmitting, giving the signal that it was ready to go
along with the two-state settlement based on pre-1967
borders. The leadership of Syria and the West Bank have also
been making statements like this. So Israel started to get
worried that it would be obliged to negotiate a settlement
which the international community has been supporting for
the last 30 years.
Those who are against this
settlement are the U.S. or Israel, backed by the U.S. So
when Hamas was becoming moderate and holding to the
cease-fire it agreed in June 2008, it was showing herself to
be a credible negotiating partner. Hamas was standing by its
word. In the meantime, Israel has neglected another core
principle of cease-fire, namely easing the blockade. So
Israel had to defeat this Palestinian peace offensive. It
always does this. It provokes Palestinians into reacting,
and it wants to either destroy Hamas or inflicts so much
damage that Hamas will have to say it will never negotiate
with Israel. That is exactly what Israel wants. Israel never
wants a moderate negotiating partner because if there is
one, pressure on Israel will grow. Hamas is willing for a
settlement; Hamas stands by its word. But Israel does not
want to negotiate. - January 19, 2009

August 2004 |
And where does Israel get the weapons
and killing technology to wage war instead of seeking peace
and mutual security? Mostly from the United States; and
without making any public protests against the misuse of their
weapons on civilians in war crimes of every imaginable kind
(or halting weapons transfers entirely), the United States
becomes a willing accomplice to Israel’s murderous military
attacks. Israel wins in this process because the international
acme of human rights and democracy, the USA, looks just as
dirty and brutal as they are.
Amnesty researchers in Gaza found several weapon fragments
after the fighting. One came from a 500lb (227kg) Mark-82
fin-guided bomb, which had markings indicating parts were
made by the US company Raytheon. They also found fragments
of US-made white phosphorus artillery shells, marked M825
A1.
On 15 January, several white phosphorus shells fired by the
Israeli military hit the headquarters of the UN Relief and
Works Agency in Gaza City, destroying medicine, food and
aid. One fragment found at the scene had markings indicating
it was made by the Pine Bluff Arsenal, based in Arkansas, in
October 1991.
The human rights group said the Israeli military had used
white phosphorus in densely populated civilian areas, which
it said was an indiscriminate form of attack and a war
crime. Its researchers found white phosphorus still burning
in residential areas days after the ceasefire.
At the scene of an Israeli attack that killed three
Palestinian paramedics and a boy in Gaza City on 4 January,
Amnesty found fragments of an AGM114 Hellfire missile, made
by Hellfire Systems of Orlando, a joint venture of Lockheed
Martin and Boeing. The missile is often fired from Apache
helicopters.
Amnesty said it also found evidence of a new type of
missile, apparently fired from unmanned drones, which
exploded into many pieces of shrapnel that were "tiny
sharp-edged metal cubes, each between 2 and 4mm square in
size".
"They appear designed to cause maximum
injury," Amnesty said. Many civilians were killed by this
weapon, including several children, it said.
[14]
Operation Cast Lead
Everyone already knows what Israel officially
wants, but what do the Palestinian people in Gaza
want? Rarely are the Palestinians asked by the mass-media, but
obviously they want safety and economic opportunity.
“I want a cease-fire and open borders. Crossings are better than
tunnels," Abu Mahmoud, 22-year-old tunnel smuggler. [1]
Israel’s mass-assault on Gaza is unequivocally a military
and political failure, similar to their attack on Hezbollah in
southern Lebanon just a few years ago. The blatant attacks on
civilians and civilian infrastructure has become a
public-relations fiasco for Israel, and it has left Hamas in
power while enhancing Palestinian solidarity behind them as
the only authority organized in support of the people and
willing to resist ongoing Israeli attacks.
So what is Israel trying to do? Their official
aims haven’t been met, yet they claim ‘Operation Cast Lead’
was a success, a déjà vu repeat of their war on Hezbollah and
Lebanon. Again, we have to discard propaganda statements and
focus on facts and actual events, which are much more
enlightening anyway.
Israel controls Gaza's borders, coastal waters and airspace,
and allows only some food, medical supplies and fuel to
enter Gaza, this has little substantive meaning. According
to the UN, Gaza needs a minimum of 500 truckloads of
humanitarian aid and commercial goods a day. While the
Israeli authorities have told humanitarian agencies that
they will allow up to 200 truckloads a day, the actual
number has never exceeded 120 since the blockade began in
June 2007. The average in February was between 88 and 104,
including the grain shipped by conveyor belt at the Karni
crossing. New security procedures since the January war make
it almost impossible for aid agencies to plan deliveries
more than 24 hours in advance.
The UN Office for the Coordination of
Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that Israel has arbitrarily
refused entry of even basic items like chickpeas, macaroni,
and wheat-flour, notebooks for students, freezer appliances,
generators, water pumps and cooking gas.
Israel insists that all trucks enter Gaza via Kerem Shalom near the south
of Gaza, where every item on the trucks must be unloaded,
inspected, repackaged and reloaded with a "handling fee" of
$1,000, even though there are other crossings with more
sophisticated security screening equipment. It is clear that
Israel's actions are aimed less at preventing arms from
getting through into Gaza than intimidating and punishing
the Gazan population, destroying whatever remains of the
Gazan economy and forcing Gazans into exile.
[3]
Israel's tactics of violence and their strategy
of state-terrorism aren't haphazard or accidental; they're
very much intentional and calculated. Israel even has a name
for
their use of indiscriminate slaughter and the application of
disproportionate force; operation Cast Lead was an extension
of what Israel calls the ‘Dahiyah policy’, named after the
bombardment of Dahiyah, Beirut in 2006, part of Israel's
effort to destroy Lebanon's national infrastructure
while intimidating Hezbollah. [10]
Religion Rules
The involvement of the very influential Jewish
religious establishment in Israel forms a key element in the
war process. Many Rabbis have been particularly vocal in
promoting and fomenting war on the Palestinians, and Israel’s
Arab and Persian neighbors as well, using religious
commandments as direct support, indeed a mass-mandate,
for inflicting pain and suffering upon all who oppose Judaism.
This is the same archaic tribal mindset explicitly described
in the Torah, or Biblical Old Testament.
In the last decades, the state-financed
religious educational system has churned out "rabbis" who
are more like medieval Christian priests than the Jewish
sages of Poland or Morocco. This system indoctrinates its
pupils with a violent tribal cult, totally ethnocentric,
which sees in the whole of world history nothing but an
endless story of Jewish victimhood. This is a religion of a
Chosen People, indifferent to others, a religion without
compassion for anyone who is not Jewish, which glorifies the
God-decreed genocide described in the Biblical book of
Joshua.
…
The rabbis openly called upon the soldiers to be cruel and
merciless toward the Arabs.
[4]
And further
evidence unmasks the Jewish religious
establishment in Israel as enthusiastic promoters of a
slaughter of Palestinians, justified as a religious duty for
Israel’s soldiers.
Another disturbing element reported by the soldiers was the
role of military rabbis in distributing booklets that framed
the fighting as a religious war. “All these articles had a
clear message: we are the Jewish people, we have come to the
land by miraculous means, and now we have to fight to remove
the Gentiles who are getting in our way and preventing us from
occupying the Holy Land… a great many soldiers had a feeling
throughout this operation of a religious war,” said one
soldier.
[6]
Israel is the one state in
the world that recognizes no permanent boundaries
The Jewish establishment doesn’t want to
resolve conflict with non-Jews, at least not in a way that the
rest of us understand it through dialogue and
arbitration. They want to exterminate everyone that doesn’t
support them, just as one stone-age tribe seeks to defeat and
slaughter another stone-age tribe! Consequently, Israel’s
actions are not intended to create a situation where the
Palestinians, or the Iranians, accept mutual coexistence,
that’s why the goal-posts keep changing within the sham peace
process, and no matter what Iran does it can never meet
Israel’s standards of nuclear security (never mind Iran’s need
for security against Israel’s established nuclear arsenal). In
this warped mindset non-Jews can’t do anything to be Jews,
they are inherently a different tribe.
Israel is pushing a power-trip for perpetual
pain upon the Palestinian people.
|
Not all Jews are Zionists, although Zionists make every
effort to convince the world that's not the case!
Mathematical theorist Albert Einstein was opposed to
Zionism, for all the obvious reasons, yet after his death
his statements on the topic were twisted to support the
Zionist position. For instance, Einstein once stated that
"Peace in Palestine cannot be achieved through force, only
through understanding."
Later
the word ‘Palestine’ was dropped, turning Einstein's words
into, "Peace can never be
kept by force, only through understanding."
In the same spirit the fictional
story of Schindler's list corrupted the (Babylonian)
Talmud text of Sanhedrin 37a from
"Whoever preserves a single soul of
Israel, it is as if he had preserved an entire world", into the more gentile friendly
"Whoever destroys the life of
a single human being...it is as if he had destroyed an
entire world; and whoever preserves the life of a single
human being ...it is as if he had preserved an entire
world." |
Ironically, peace with the Palestinians would
directly benefit Israel, as well as the Palestinian people,
and indeed the world at large.
“The shopkeeper said he has fond memories of the 1970s, when he would
drive from Gaza City to his Mercedes supplier in the Israeli
port city of Haifa without borders or checkpoints.” [1] Open trade and economic interaction would boost
the well-being of both sides. The obvious simplicity of this
fact is yet another demonstration of the sheer stupidity and
self-destruction of
tribalism
and religious fundamentalism.
Sadly, this insurmountable divide between Jews and
goyim extends inside Israel as well; making a mockery of
Israel’s supposed state of democracy.
Israel's Palestinian citizens live a precarious existence lacking
well-defined rights, despite the nation's boasting of being
the only democracy in the Middle East. Even the number of
Palestinian citizens of Israel is an open question, since
Jerusalem is home to a quarter million Palestinians who,
despite being born in areas Israel claims are within its
borders, do not receive citizenship at birth and face a
nebulous legal status as “permanent residents.”
[5]
Proponents of Judaism continually emphasize the
noble qualities of the religion with its emphasis upon
charity, but they conveniently ignore the fact that the
charity is intended for Jews only. But then again, lying to a
non-Jew isn’t really a lie either. Judaism of the Talmud holds
that only Jews are human and that everyone else is just an
animal, and as a consequence all charity and mercy is reserved
for Jews only. This explains why so many Rabbis promote
extreme brutality and merciless hatred against Palestinians,
Arabs, and anyone that directly opposes Jewish Israel. This
kind of us-versus-them double standard leads to all sorts of
bizarre and warped behavior patterns. Indeed the root paranoia
that anti-Semitism represents is the chronic fear that Jewish
hatred and brutality will eventually be returned against them
by non-Jews, it’s a projection of Jewish Zionism’s tribal
ruthlessness onto others. Yet at the same time these Jews are
afraid that if they let up on the cruelty and tactics of
terrorism for just a moment the people they’ve been tormenting
for decades will lose their fear, rise up and retaliate. The
terrorists become terrorized themselves, but it does create a
sense of solidarity in collective guilt and fear. This is why
Jews and Zionists around the world, think of Alan Dershowitz,
exert such enormous effort
continually
trying to defend the indefensible!
The IDF military
campaign in Gaza enjoyed the support of 94% of the Israeli
population. 94% of the Israelis apparently approved of the
air raids against civilians. The Israeli people saw the
carnage on their TV screens, they heard the voices, they saw
hospitals and refugee camps in flames and yet, they weren’t
really moved by it all. They didn’t do much to stop their
“democratically elected” ruthless leaders. Instead, some of
them grabbed a seat and settled on the hills overlooking the
Gaza Strip to watch their army turning Gaza into modern
Hebraic coliseum of blood. [8]
|
The official objective of Zionism is to create a
safe haven for the world’s Jews, yet through the violent
and brutal actions of Israel, combined with the theft of
land and ongoing illegal settlements; Zionism actively
creates new enemies around the world and makes Jews
less safe than ever before! Zionism is a screaming
example of the ends trying to justify the means, only
generating tactical success that inexorably leads to
colossal strategic defeat. |
Human Shields, Human Targets
To deflect criticism of vicious attacks on
dense and virtually defenseless Palestinian populations,
Israel claims that the people they’re targeting hide amongst
the civilian population and so they have no choice. In other
words, the cowardly terrorists hide behind human shields.
Actually this isn’t a lie; it’s just being terribly misleading
because Israel’s intended target is the civilian
population. But even if the excuse made sense Israel does
exactly that anyway, frequently taking Palestinian adults, and
particularly children, hostage in order to clear a room they
suspect of being booby-trapped, or to walk down a street
threatening to shoot the hostage if they come under attack.
These tactics are well documented, and in March 2009 the United
Nations condemned one egregious incident where an 11 year
Palestinian was used as a human shield by Israeli forces in
Gaza. At the same time the Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed
Israeli soldiers wearing t-shirts with slogans in English and
Hebrew like
"1 Shot 2
Kills,"
with a pregnant Arab woman in the cross-hairs, and
"The smaller
they are, the harder it is,"
featuring a child with a gun. [7]
Israel’s use of white phosphorus (WP) artillery shells on Gaza has come
under major criticism around the world, with the usual
exception that nearly nothing is heard or written in the
American or Canadian press that reflects negatively on Israel.
White phosphorus burns intensely on contact with oxygen and it
is used to create a smoke-screen or to act as an illuminating
agent for nighttime operations where the pieces slowly float
to the ground and burn out. But to be properly used the
artillery shells have to be fired at a high angle so the
pieces have a long time to fall. Israel lobbed the shells at a
low angle and into populated areas where phosphorus becomes a
horrific weapon as it quickly hits the ground and burns
everything it touches. The respected NGO Human Rights Watch
has concluded in a report that Israel intentionally used white
phosphorus shells indiscriminately, in a text-book war crimes
incident.
The group documented only some of the cases,
including white phosphorous shells fired at a Gaza City
hospital, the U.N. headquarters, a school and a market. In
six attacks, 12 civilians were killed and dozens wounded,
said Human Rights Watch researcher Fred Abrahams.
[9]
This is a particularly important event to
Americans because the WP shells were made in the United
States, and Israel’s use of them in a documented war crime is
a direct violation of the foreign arms sales agreement. Any
country besides Israel would be immediately placed on the
black list, like China was after the
Tiananmen Square
massacre in 1989. But for a very special
Israel with a death-grip on America's political process, the
American-made weapons keep on coming.
Israel's Operation Genocide
Damning testimony from Israel’s own soldiers
operating in Gaza confirms that Operation Cast Lead was a
genocide mission against Palestinians in everything but name.
It’s going to be really tough for the Israeli
government to blame this one on HAMAS:
“That’s the beauty of Gaza. You see a
man walking, he doesn’t have to have a weapon, and you can
shoot him,” one soldier told Danny Zamir, the head of the
Rabin pre-military academy, who asked him why a company
commander ordered an elderly woman to be shot. …
There were also accounts of soldiers being ordered to throw
all the furniture out of Palestinians’ homes as they were
taken over. “We simply threw everything out the windows to
make room and order. The entire contents of the house flew out
the windows: refrigerator, plates, furniture. The order was to
remove the entire contents of the house.”
[6]
Interestingly, in March 2009 the President of
Sudan was issued an arrest warrant from the International
Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against
humanity in the rebel region of Darfur – a first against a
serving leader.
The president is accused of "directing
attacks against an important part of the civilian population
of Darfur", said Laurence Blairon, a spokeswoman for the
court in The Hague. She told reporters the attacks had
included "murdering, exterminating, raping, torturing and
forcibly transferring large numbers of civilians and
pillaging their property". [2]
Yet Israel’s leaders have basically done the
same thing for years against Palestinians in Gaza and the West
Bank; an arrest warrant for them is noticeably absent -- and
don’t hold your breath waiting for one considering the
enormous Zionist influence upon the political establishment in
Europe and the USA. This blatant hypocrisy only undermines
the validity of the ICC and similar western institutions
supposedly seeking universal justice; the victory of Zionism
is an unequivocal loss for everyone everywhere.
Business as usual for Israel - Making
Palestinians as miserable as possible
Israeli forces
raided ICS [Islamic Charitable Society] institutions on 6
March and 1 April seizing equipment, clothing, school buses
and food and clothing from ICS warehouses and posting military
closure orders on several buildings and offices. The charity
estimated the cost of the raids in lost equipment and damage
at US$418,000.
Describing the raids, Lynes said, "The Israeli army […] went
into a bakery and literally destroyed all the equipment. They
went into a sewing machine workshop, which is used for
training the orphan girls, and they wrecked all the sewing
machines and removed all the textiles. The machines turned up
in the town dump."
A similar series of Israeli raids has been reported in Nablus
since 7 July, with six charities reportedly joining the 50-odd
closed by Israel in the last two years. [16]
Israel blocked access for journalists and humanitarian aid
into Gaza.
Despite our
protests the Israelis authorities have refused to let
journalists in ... Never before have journalists been
prevented from doing their work in this way. We believe it is
vital that journalists be allowed to find out for themselves
what is going on in Gaza. Israel controls access to Gaza.
Israel must allow professional journalists access to this
important story. [17]

July 2006 |
Israel attacked UN schools nine times, the health
clinic and the Gaza UN headquarters during Operation Cast
Lead, even attacking during Israel's announced ceasefire!
Richard Miron,
a UN spokesman, said the Israeli army had been notified in
advance about the UNRWA convoy, which was hit as it approached
the Erez crossing with Israel. Two Palestinian forklift
drivers were killed.
With the Czech Republic currently holding the EU presidency,
its foreign minister Karel Schwarzenberg said: “After the
striking of the UN school, this is another terrible episode,
which moreover occurred during the three-hour ceasefire
declared by Israel. [18]
All the while the Israeli military was shooting just about every Palestinian
that they could find.
In one, Palestinian witnesses said that an
Israeli sniper shot and killed a 40-year-old woman
carrying a white flag when she emerged from her house as
an Israeli bulldozer was demolishing it in an attempt to
tell the Israeli forces that there were dozens of
civilians inside the home.
In the other, Human Rights Watch
concluded that evidence backs Palestinian claims that an
Israeli soldier opened fire on a woman, her mother-in-law
and three girls as they stood on the steps of their home
waving a white flag.
Two of the girls, aged 2
and 7, were killed. The third girl, 4, and the older woman
were wounded. The 4-year-old was one of the few who
managed to escape Gaza for special medical care in Europe.
[19]
In the wake of Israel's attack on the people of Gaza, the United
Nations produced a report on the conflict. Even though the study
was led by self-described Zionist Richard Goldstone, Israel’s
actions were so egregious that the report was forced to strongly
condemn them as,
“a deliberately disproportionate attack
designed to punish, humiliate and terrorize a civilian
population, radically diminish its local economic capacity both
to work and to provide for itself, and to force upon it an
ever-increasing sense of dependency and vulnerability”.
Numerous atrocities on the part of Israel have been reported,
such as:
Neurosurgeon Dr Ahmed Yaha catalogued
horrific injuries such as babies being shot in the head,
babies with broken spines due to being thrown by shell blasts.
People burned to the bone by white phosphorus, nail bombs
causing brutal injuries and a new phenomena, micro-pellets,
that leave no entry wound but cause fatal internal injuries.

From
Eastern Europe to Israel, the Hidden History of Jewish Origins
The official
motto of Israel’s spy service, the Mossad, is
“By way of
deception thou shalt do war”. [11] Yet this mentality is hardly
the exclusive domain of the Mossad. Zionists in general
must live in a cloud of lies because the truth is
completely against them. Zionists are typified by the likes of
defense attorney
Alan
Dershowitz, who must continually attempt to spin and justify
the brutal and appalling actions of the state of Israel in
defiance of world opinion, reason and logic.
In fact, the
deception goes much further than most even realize.
Today’s Jews aren’t even originally
from Israel! They actually descended from a Turkic tribe called
the Khazars.
A growing body of archeological evidence and written accounts
substantiates the fact that the vast majority of the Jews
in the world today actually originated from a group of
Turkic people from Asia living
between the Caspian and Black Seas in an Empire known as
Khazaria,
from about the year 700-1200.
Khazaria was a formidable and populous power that dominated
regional trade routes and accumulated great wealth. Their
conversion to Judaism marked one of the most momentous events of
the past two millennia. Hundreds of years later the decline and
fall of Khazaria pushed Jews into new settlements in Eastern
Europe.
This
was the steady state of affairs until the 18th century when
Napoleon swept through Europe on his way to Russia and broke
open the stagnant and inbred ghettos with new laws that usurped
religion in favor of economy. Then in the last part of the 19th
century Theodor Herzl dreamed up the nationalist theocracy of
Zionism and sold it to Jewish and Christian leaders who found it attractive for their own reasons. Zionism offered the
Jews their own state and a chunk of real estate in Palestine, which was chosen because it matched the religious
texts and the land was politically feasible to acquire. European
Jews gradually moved into what is now the state of Israel as another conqueror
arrived on the scene who was less charitable towards the Jews
than Napoleon, Adolph Hitler, accelerating the flow of Jews into
British controlled Palestine.
|
The facts about Khazaria and the real origins of the
Jewish people completely demolishes the already flimsy
stories supporting the creaky edifice of Zionism. For this
reason alone the significance of Khazaria cannot be
ignored. |
Judaism is technically a matrilineal tribal faith, considered to be a
long and unbroken chain of a single people that have wandered
out, around, and now back to the Eastern Mediterranean with the
advent of Zionism and the modern state of Israel. But the
classic storyline of Jewish origins has never been able to
explain how hundreds of thousands of Jews, supposedly from the
Levant, remarkably all appeared in villages across Eastern
Europe beginning about the 13th and 14th
centuries, with virtually nowhere else of any comparable
population. However, the rise and fall of Khazaria does explain
the situation perfectly well.
Historical facts and archeological evidence demolish the
established origins and assumed racial and ethnic character of
the Jews. The vast majority of Jews alive today are not
descendants of the Middle East, and therefore the pejorative term
anti-Semitism is effectively meaningless because most Jews are
not a Semitic (Middle Eastern) people. Not that the term
'anti-Semitism' made much sense to begin with since it was
always selectively employed to refer to Jewish but not Arab
Semites! Christian Zionists
as
well
have a perplexing dilemma on their hands since today's Jews are
not 'God's chosen people' of the Bible but rather a Turkic
people from Asia
having no
substantial connection to the characters and tribes described in
the holy books.
Anti-Semitism,
Fact and Fiction
The problem with Zionism, as
is obvious today, is that by using religious justification to
seize Palestine, a potentially secular Zionism was mortally
undermined by exclusionary religious beliefs. So, while the state of Israel
was hypothetically (but not in actuality) better glued together
by a shared faith, in fact it instantly created widespread
animosity through its formation based on the theft of land.
This fact demonstrates one of
the fundamental flaws in anti-Semitism: it’s not who the
Jews are that generates the animosity, it’s what they do.
Anti-Semitism is an excuse and a very dangerous delusion for Jews to maintain
because of the self-righteous way it so neatly absolves them
of all blame for any and all actions. The standard Jewish
conception of anti-Semitism maintains that they, the gentiles,
hate us by their very nature so it doesn’t matter what Jews do
or don’t do. Few things are more pernicious than self-righteous
delusion, and an uncritical belief in religious superiority
offers this up in unlimited amounts.
Although he wasn't referring
to Israel, the Jewish state has become exactly what Herzl wrote about
concerning despotism: The mere
preservation of obsolete institutions is a task severe enough to
require the enforcement of all the despotic measures of an
autocratically governed State. [12, pg. 88]
The charge of anti-Semitism
has been turned into the new
witchcraft; the accused can’t be proven innocent, they can only
atone through endless penitence. Yet in reality the actual
presence of hate for Jews is more fiction than fact being
remarkably absent from the mainstream, with exception being
places, like the Middle East, where such hostility is
understandably justified considering Israel's actions.
Seymour Martin Lipset notes that in
1985, according to a poll, a majority of Jewish Americans in San
Francisco were sincerely convinced that no Jew could be elected
to the U.S. Congress from San Francisco—when in fact all three
members of Congress were Jewish Americans, plus the two state
senators and the mayor!" [15]
Zionism and the Holocaust
Today Zionism drags the rest
of the world into fighting wars in the name of the Holocaust.
Palestinians are tormented and killed in mass while trapped
inside the open-air prison of the Gaza Strip by Israel, perpetuating
gross injustice, while Israel proclaims the necessity of
self-defense to prevent another holocaust against Jews! A
situation that defies logic, yet in Europe it remains
illegal to publicly question the establishment's version of the
World War II Jewish Holocaust!
[W]hether it was one or four millions Jews who died in
Auschwitz, no one doubts that the camp was a horrible place.
Yet, two questions must be answered once and for all: how
is it that the Jews, who suffered so much during that war,
managed to get themselves involved in a colossal racist
crime against the Palestinians (1948 Nakba) just three years
after the liberation of Auschwitz? How is it that the
Israeli leadership, that happens to be so sensitive to
Jewish suffering, manages to neglect the pain they inflict
on millions of Palestinians?
-
Gilad Atzmon, September, 2009
The Holocaust narrative is
full of confusing and contradictory stories, exactly because it
has been granted immunity from thorough scrutiny and honest
public discussion. The Jewish Holocaust has little to do with objective
history and everything to do with serving a political agenda.
As embarrassing as it may seem, in just three moves
Ahmadinejad manages to expose the current deceptive Western
mode of discussion. He, in fact identifies the holocaust as
the core of our hypocritical stand, a tendency that has
managed to shatter our ethical judgment. The holocaust was
there to divert the attention from the colossal crimes
committed by the allies: Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Dresden are
just brief examples of institutionalised genocide at the
hands of the English Speaking Empire. The holocaust has
successfully matured into a new religion. Yet, it lacks
theology. It doesn’t allow any form of criticism or
reformism. It is in fact an anti-Western religion inspired
by hate and vengeance. It is dark, it is blind and it lacks
mercy and compassion. It is a faith that declares an assault
on any form of doubt. It is a crude brutal belief system
that stands in opposition to the notions of liberty and
goodness. As if this is not enough, those who subscribe to
this religion are complicit in an ongoing assault against
grace and peace.

Burying
Zionism and Surviving the 21st Century
If you ask why we still
have to be so concerned with archaic remnants and discredited
mindsets that honest and educated people have already moved far
beyond, like nationalism, religion, and tribal warfare, the
biggest reason is Zionism. Because the religion of Judaism is
tribal and not universal, like Christianity or Islam, the
origins matter. Since Jews aren't really a special or singular
race originating in the Levant, dispersed around the world and
then returned, then the whole religious story is a sham that must
be addressed and rectified. All of the disastrous consequences
of Zionism are a direct result of the tribalism that it emerged
from – the raw hatred, the blatant racism, the extreme violence
that characterizes blood-soaked Old Testament Bible stories.
It's about the absolute
belief that 'we' are superior to everyone else, we’re the chosen
people, and everyone else are vermin to be exterminated.
Zionism and human rights are mutually exclusive since human
rights are inherently universal and Zionism is inherently
exclusive. Zionism is an anachronism, out of time and out of
space that must continually struggle against the headwinds of
cooperation and integration.
Zionists struggle within an
artificially
distorted context created by their indefatigable belief in being the chosen people, alone and unique among the world, and
that everyone else is an inferior outsider worthy only of lies,
duplicity, and merciless exploitation. This imbalanced view of
people and events leads to
some strange outcomes such as double-standards for ethics
and morality, one used for relations with Jews and one for
relations with the Goyim (non-Jews). Schizophrenic morality
quickly leads to neurosis that inevitably manifests as harmful physical
effects too. Zionism is an example of this schizophrenic
morality in action. Zionism believes that all the Holy Land is
for Jews alone and this belief necessitates a raft of unsavory
actions such as theft of land and resources, expulsion and
killing of non-Jews, and a continuous stream of duplicity and
rhetoric intended to justify these actions to non-Jews when
blatant acts of theft and murder would otherwise seem to be
indefensible.
The burden of Zionism takes
its toll not just on Palestinians but on the mental stability of
Jews as well.
This is just one reason why it's crucially important to maintain
a consistency in personal thought and action based on a stable,
non-relative moral conception in the mind used to
determine how to treat everyone you interact with. You can be a hero or a coward, a
friend or an enemy, just as long as the reasoning behind that
behavior emerges from a consistent framework within the mind and
is not random, hypocritical, or unjust.
Treat others as you want to be treated, and then treat them as
they treat you (reciprocation).
Everyday more and more people are actively
protesting and resisting Zionism, and we need more to do the same
every way possible. We have to keep
hammering on the walls of authority’s fortress of immunity with
reality, and eventually the citadel that shields power from
truth will collapse. In the aftermath of a discredited and
buried Zionism we can all build a more integrated, cooperative
and productive world that's safe for everyone to live in.
